Allison Transmissions
Every NorthTrends transmission undergoes rigorous testing, including dynamometer and pressure decay testing. No NorthTrends transmission is shipped until it passes all scheduled tests including leak inspection.
NorthTrends remanufactured transmissions are meticulously remanufactured to precise factory tolerances with original and new improved Allison parts. Transmissions are completely disassembled, cleaned and screened for possible reuse of any components. Torque converters are disassembled, cleaned and qualified, reassembled, and tested to original Allison specifications.
A NorthTrends remanufactured transmission has a two-year worldwide warranty for most approved applications (excluding Refuse, Industrial & Construction Machinery Applications) and is supported by the same service network that stands behind every new Allison Automatic.
Detroit Diesel Engines
NorthTrends remanufactured Detroit Diesel block are a cost-effective solution to extend the service life of
equipment. All remanufactured Detroit Diesel blocks are expertly tore down and remanufactured including:
- Major castings are magnafluxed and qualified for reuse
- Exhaust, intake seats and guides are installed to maintain proper geometry
- Cylinder head is re-torqued (if required) and valves readjusted
- Blocks receive updated flange liners when needed
- Dynamometer test report provided recording H.P. and engine operation
- All engines are painted, skidded and made ready for shipment or installation

In April 2007, Perkins Pacific moved into its new state-of-the-art sales and service facility. The new streamlined engine dress department for component upfits fulfills the need to supply new and replacement OEM application of remanufactured Perkins engines and Allison transmissions.
Perkins Pacific is one of ten North American master distributors and one of the largest distributors of Perkins products in North America, employing 75 dedicated staff members. Our facility offers field and in-house engine and transmission repair and maintenance service with 12 full service dealers serving its territory, which covers eight states including Alaska.
Besides being a distributor of new Perkins engines and parts, Perkins Pacific distributes a remanufactured line of Perkins engines and Allison transmissions under their NorthTrends brand.
As well as a distributor of remanufactured transmissions, engines and new engines, Perkins Pacific package their own line of generators ranging from 8-600kW, also under the NorthTrends trademark.
